ABOUT DARCIE FLEUR

Meet Harriet; Mum, floral stylist + advocate for our planet

The seed for Darcie Fleur was planted many moons ago. As a teenager I spent every Friday morning at the Sydney Produce Market, collecting fresh fruit and vegetables with my Mum for her Saturday organic vegetable stall. We got waylaid one day and stumbled upon the Sydney Flower Market. The sight, smell and vibrance had me instantly hooked and I knew I’d be back one day buying flowers for my very own business.

A decade later, Darcie Fleur came to be; shortly after the birth of my beautiful daughter, Darcie. I was a single Mum, in the middle of a pandemic, and I realised it was a rare opportunity to start fresh. So, I asked myself, ‘What would I do if I could do anything?’. It was then that the idea for Darcie Fleur was sparked; the perfect combinination of my love for florals, my creative flair and my passion for our planet.

OUR VALUES DRIVE + INSPIRE US TO CAREFULLY CURATE BEAUTIFUL FLORALS WITH THE PLANET IN MIND

Authenticity

We know our clients want something unique for their special day. Our minimal style is totally authentic to what we love and believe in, and we put our heart and soul into everything we create.

Care for the Planet

Our passion for the planet, and making the world a better place, drives everything that we do. Our floral designs have a big impact on the eyes, while making little impact on the planet.

Simplicity

We bring simplicity + elegance to floral styling, through both our design style and overall approach. We aren’t interested in gimicks, and aim to provide calm + clarity to you on your special day.

Bringing your event florals to life, while keeping the planet alive too.

Our aim is to be as kind to the planet as we possibly can. We don’t ever use toxic floral foam, and all green waste is composted. We aim to source flowers seasonally and locally whenever possible – this can sometimes be tricky depending on your wedding date/style, but if we work together we can make it happen! Any cardboard or soft plastics that we encounter when purchasing flowers from the markets is always re-used and/or recycled appropriately. And at the end of your event, all vessels and flower buckets are cleaned with non-toxic products.

Each month, a portion of our profits are donated to a charity that is also working to keep our planet as clean as possible. Some of our favourites are:
